Alas, Sunday is here! It’ll soon be time to finish up a project or two that have been in the works. Before we get to crack-a-lacking, Conversation Heart Sugar Scrub is up for grabs. Who’s with me?
All the little girls—and ladies alike—are going to be dazzled to get a sweet Conversation Heart Sugar Scrub as a Valentine this year.
Want a quick and easy way to decorate your house for the Fourth of July? We have just the solution for you: Independence Day Printables. A year ago in May, we opened up our very own print shop on Etsy.com and set out on a new business venture. I am here to let you know that so far, so good. My graphic design skills and my wife’s strategic planning are crucial to the success of our shop, Aloha Paper Boutique. Read More
In our house, it is still winter until further notice! We will keep buying bags of fresh blood oranges for as long as we can possibly pull it off or as long as they actually keep sending them in stores. With so many on hand the past few weeks, we have spent many days curating neat recipes with our blood orange collection, including this spa treatment style Blood Orange Lip Scrub. Of course, I’m a total nerd when it comes to reading about health benefits associated with seasonal produce, or fruits & veggies in general. We read the beneficial side of what a single blood orange can do for our skin and that’s when we started up brainstorming about using their benefit for our face. Read More
Greetings, everyone! It’s the first of the month and, now that we are in the beginning of March, it’s time to be festive! Woot, woot. I decided I would come up with 17 Lucky Charms for St. Patrick’s Day. I know, I’m so rad. Cereal used to be an entire food group in my past life. For me, cereal is an absolute no go. As tempting as it may be to pour some milk over a bowl of cereal, neither the cereal nor the milk will do me any good. In lieu of no cereal in my life—yes, that unfortunately includes Lucky Charms—I surfed all of the Internet to find the best DIY projects, home decor ideas, goodies and treats for St. Patrick’s Day.
Each of these different pieces of inspiration for a celebratory holiday led me to title them the 17 Lucky Charms for St. Patrick’s Day. I find that each and every single one of these have their own lucky charm. Whether you make one of the goodies to give to someone or if you follow along with a project to decorate your own house, I picked all of the lucky charms that I found and swooned over. Read More
Happy Valentine’s Day!
A day for the lovers and a time to show love. This is one of my favorite little holidays because it’s so easy to just show your love to someone through actions, words and heartfelt gifts. I know it will be very hard to find time to go to the store and buy a gift or sit for a few hours and make a DIY project or craft as a present. Good and healthy food is the way to someone’s heart and, moreover, so is chocolate! Here are just a few of my favorite 5 Sweet Last Minute Valentines from Pinterest and beyond. Read More
With just five short days till Valentine’s Day, I had to come up with a little something to share with all of you love birds out there that may or may not have a chance to go out and buy a gift for your significant other, or new beau.
I just read something this morning on Twitter about Rachel Ray going on the Today’s Show this week handcuffed to her husband to represent the bond that they have and how much they mean to each other… That’s typically the part where people stop reading and insert the met “blah blah” but I think she is making a very good point for us all to learn from. I relate this more to marriages then I would to just any relationship. If your relationship is serious, feel free to read this directed to you as well. It’s just the contract part that doesn’t really apply. Before you start wondering what contract?! Keep reading…you’ll see. Where my married people at?
With all the trying to catch up with my storytelling thing on the blog, I don’t think I have yet had the opportunity to share about my niece’s birth. Sometimes blood is it thicker than water. Marylex’s childhood best friend, Morgan, just had a baby. Her name is Luna Faye. We call her Lulu. She’s absolutely gorgeous! What a little princess she is. The whole pregnancy was such a beautiful experience to follow from start to finish. Read More
OKAY, the Legendary Road Trip is right around the corner! We are practically ready for it. Except for packing an extra little jar of this Rejuvenating Coffee Body Scrub. Gosh, I cannot forget that. We’ve been training with the boy; we are going to begin working on “heal”, as we have not worked on that before. See below the list of states we will be visiting as we depart from Florida. It’s a round trip, start to finish, from home in Orlando. Happiest place on earth, DUH!
A simple, yet refreshing DIY. As always, I keep it cheap and I keep it easy. These are my mottos in life. I don’t want to pay too much for stuff I can make myself. I, also, don’t want to dish out time and effort into purchasing these products that contain nothing but straight garbage. Most small trinkets full of cool bath stuff at the store are costly, ineffective, and the ingredients are loads of crap you cannot even pronounce. I am good on that, thank you very much! I’ll take some healthy Oatmeal Bath Satchels, any day.
This Christmas, gifts are from the heart and in mason jars. This is not to say that gifts from previous years have not been heartfelt. We just wanted to focus more specifically on mason jars than anything. Last year, we made fresh nut butter personalized to each recipient’s taste. Most of the family & friends that were on the receiving end, took their first bite that same Christmas after gift giving in the evening. Read More
