I swear this is one of the easiest DIY projects known to man. There has been a beautiful Galvanized Steel Trash Bin on our IKEA shopping list for quite a while. There was just so much work to be done out in the patio that left us no room for extra gimmicks and gadgets out in the backyard even if it meant having the coolest Galvanized Steel Trash Bin & Spray Painted Copper Handles on the block. Good afternoon, beautiful people. Today is Friday and you know what that means… Finance Fridays! And, also, Good Friday. Our family has been using the Cozi calendar—rated one of the top must-have family apps—for a little over a year now. It has done wonders for our family and brought us closer together indefinitely. It has even allowed us to relieve some financial obligations by marking things down in our shared calendar to pay off debt. Read More
This is the second DIY tutorial post about a bathroom faucet this month! I’ll shoot right to it and let you know that this one has nothing to do with the crazy water leak we had in our master bathroom. Thank God for that! We have a half bath downstairs that has a few neat characteristics. Originally the walls in this bathroom were all baby blue—eek—but it had white pallets of wood on the bottom half of the walls. The wood part we liked, the baby blue part, not so much. Since we had painters come in after Christmas to paint the whole house, we decided to go with Sherwin-Williams Aristocrat Peach for the top half of the walls and Snowbound White for the wood, which is the shade of white we chose for the rest of the house. We wanted to go with an old-fashioned farmhouse style look with this bathroom. This was inspired by the waterfall faucet that the bathroom came with. Score for us! Read More
It won’t come as a surprise to you that the master bath had to be replaced in our house! So many things with such little time but some stuff had to get done due to priority. One morning about a week ago, we were brushing our teeth in the morning and heard a sudden gushing sounds coming from under the sink. To our surprise, it was completely flooded under there and the water just would not stop. My honey shut the water valve off immediately and we had to finish up brushing in the guest bathroom. Of course, I text our friend Chris right away to ask him when he could come by to check it out. I was pretty freaked out about it because it was our first major plumbing issue since we moved. He said he would come that same afternoon after he got out of work. Yay! Thank goodness for Godly people. When he came over, he gave us a quick and painless diagnosis. The old faucet had to be replaced! This was something we were planning on doing down the line but had to bring it up higher on the priority list sooner than later. Read More
The devil hates obedience. We can do it, here and now! It’s not about the place it’s about God in the place and He is here, now. Read More
We filled up this bad boy we call the pink and green with all sorts of goodies and necessities to solve any problem while on the road. Years ago, my cousin Lala, who works at Nordstrom, got these for us: one for her and one for me. We always called it the pink and green. We filled it up with make up and random purse fillers. Over time, the pink and green got dirty, very dirty. I watched it several times but it ended up put away in a drawer for years.
Through the move earlier this year, it ended up stored inside of an ottoman. As soon as The Legendary Road Trip came into play, we knew we had to pull out the pink and green and fill it up with natural and healthy first aid solutions. There lie many ideas and it was then that the Stellar First-Aid Kit was born.
I thought I would post up a quick DIY that had been on my mind for ages. A magnetic strip for bobby pins and hair clips because God knows that bobby pins, hair clips, and all things tiny and cute can be a big fat mess! This is definitely a popular DIY that is all over Pinterest and blogs worldwide but some have not seen it. And, like me, some have and just haven’t made it. Read More
If you finished college and got the degrees you wanted, what extracurricular classes would you take out of pure interest? Of course, I still want a Master’s degree but I am not ready to commit to that just yet. I guess maybe I haven’t gotten all the degrees I wanted, who cares? I know I will one day and I’ll finally have the PhD I’ve dreamt of having my entire life.
This lifestyle I live is straight from heaven, yet; I do it because it’s His plan and I know clearly going back to school full time or even part time isn’t part of His plan, at least for right now it’s not. For now, maybe a class in Oceanography can satisfy the craving for knowledge I currently have.
Who collects perfumes and fragrances like I do? Do you have a problem fitting all your perfumes on one table or one counter or in just one place? Do you share your perfume display area with your husband, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend or fiance? This is just the thing for you and me because I had my perfumes in a box since I moved without ANY space to put them, specially because I have to share and it’s hard when you have so many and refuse to get rid of any of them. I actually gave away some of these priceless beauties to make space and still struggled to find a right place. Read More
