Our Essential Oil Pain Relief Roll-on is an amazing combination of gingeroot, tea tree, wintergreen, eucalyptus, clove, rosemary and Vitamin E oils in order to achieve a pain-busting potion that is close to nothing of that on the market. All natural and homemade, you cannot beat that. My favorite part is that you can change up the recipe to whatever you have on hand. If you have a few more drops of clove than you do of eucalyptus, take the burn! Whatever works best for you, your body and your family. This combination is what works best for us. It has proven to heal us time and time again. Read More

Every single girl all around the world wants their skin to glow. Am I right or am I right? OK… Maybe not every single girl. At least most out of them. But what woman doesn’t want soft and silky glowing skin, anyway? My wife and I do. It’s good for your skin to be moisturized and hydrated at all times. Of course, when you shower you have to lather up with soap and when you wash it off you feel silky smooth. The thing of it is that soap doesn’t always moisturize your skin deep within and can actually dry you out. Yes, it cleans you while you’re in the shower but somethings gotta give. Read More
I always end up talking about haircare on the blog on my crunchy beauty post days. Ahh, I just can’t help it. And I couldn’t help but hurry to share a new recipe I came up with Leave-In Conditioning Hair Oil. To me, the look, feel and overall health of my hair is much more important than putting on makeup. Hair is everything! Having strong and beautiful hair is not only every girl’s dream but can completely determine how your day will begin—and end.
Using all natural products sometimes means surrendering your old ways for no more worries. By not using conditioner, that means that my hair doesn’t come out of the shower feeling like there is a whole entire bottle of lotion on it. My hair is literally squeaky clean right out of the shower. And while you may be thinking that what I’m explaining means I’m not washing my hair correctly—or conditioning, for that matter—you’re wrong. Trust me. I was in your shoes not that long and I was wrong, too. I was very happy with my hair regime but I was constantly longing for the feeling of soft silky hair right out of the shower. My hair is paper straight, naturally, so I always let my hair dry on its own without the need for a blow dryer. Plus, my hair is super greasy so I had to cut the conditioner and replace it somehow. My hair dries pretty quickly by itself and will be fully voluminous and shiny within a half hour of having stepped out of the shower. But that’s not the thing. The thing is that I’m a girl and I’m needy. And I will use that excuse to the very end as long as I can find a solution to it. All-natural, of course. That’s where my Leave-In Conditioning Hair Oil comes in! Read More
I used to spend so much money on those little car air fresheners that you stick inside the vent. They are really expensive as they don’t last nearly as long as they say they will. I have bought just about every kind from the generic ones at the auto parts store to the cool, new Febreze ones they started selling at the grocery store. None of them work! I thought I would eventually find some that do the job so I just kept blowing money. Silly me…
Once we turned over to all-natural everything, I got frustrated because all I had to make the car smell fresh was to use a drop or two of lavender or grapefruit essential oil on the floor carpets. Those are two of my very favorites. I also have this hanging owl car air freshener from Natural Life that doesn’t smell anymore. I would add some drops on there and leave it hanging. Still not enough!
I thought for a while that there must be something out there I can use to make an all-natural car air freshener that would actually work and be long-lasting. That’s when I decided to make some Clothespin Car Air Fresheners. Read More
My wisdom teeth have been growing in since I was 17 years old. I grew up in a dentist office because my aunt is a dental hygienist. Through all my time spent there, they had told me from the very beginning that I will one day be facing the removal of all four wisdom teeth because there was simply no more room left in my mouth for them to grow in naturally, as it is most common with other people worldwide. Little did I know how much of a
headache toothache this would be. Read More
I have loved Lush products since I was a little girl. Lip scrubs and bath bombs. Deodorant and shampoo bars. Mmm…just think of the scents when you enter the store. I love it! You know what I love more? Our very own homemade Lush Big Shampoo.
What shampoo do you use? For a while now, I have been using the squeaky clean shampoo bar. I was totally obsessed—hence the “was”. With tea tree and rosemary essential oils and hints of violets, I was told from the very second I set my eyes on one in stores. The smell of squeaky clean reminds me of baby violets perfume which I grew up using. It takes me back to my childhood days! Read More
Do you get chewed up by bugs and mosquitoes easily when you go outside? Have you been stung by just about every flying creature out there? If your answer is yes, then let me tell you…me too! Growing up and living in Florida is not exactly a breeze—pun intended. As a child, I distinctly remember citronella candles burning in all their glory at all of the outdoor family parties, basically all of them. That pungent yet refreshing scent is one I will never forget. For years, I carried a small bottle of bug spray in my car to spray myself wherever I go. Do you know how many chemicals are in one of those things? It’s horrible! Worst of all, people actually spray this on their kids. If you use this at home, don’t feel bad because you’re obviously not here by accident and it’s no coincidence you will leave learning something; you can throw out that bottle of toxic bug spray today and make your own Essential Oil Bug Repellent Spray right at home! There is it time for everything. There are times we just need to sit down to focus on breathing in some balance because you’re all over the place and you just can’t focus. This probably happens a lot while you’re at work sitting in your cubicle or when you’re at home and the kids are running around like chickens with no heads or while you’re studying and you had your head stuck in a book for five hours. Please tell me you have had one of those moments so that I don’t feel like a crazy lady over here. Read More
What face cleanser do you use on a daily basis to clean your face? I guess it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if I were to say that I don’t wash my face anymore with any face cleanser. Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can proceed to explain to you why and, then, I will tell you how. I could say that for the most part of my life I have struggled with acne. My case wasn’t extreme but I guess you could say it was extreme enough to get criticized and bullied a little bit. Kids can be mean but that’s for another post… Read More
