My wife and I swoon at the thought of Mocha Pretzel Piecrust. For Christmas this past year, we made a Wintermint Pie. It was delicious. To die for. Candyland wonderland. Thanks for that I, we were able to come up with this practical cookie crunch recipe.
Mocha Pretzel Piecrust. Yum. It’s as chocolatey as an Oreo and as crunchy as one, too. But it’s healthy. And it’s a piecrust, nonetheless.
The unfortunate reason behind why you won’t find a post for Wintermint Pie on the blog just yet is because we didn’t photograph it quite well. I mean, considering the fact that it was gone in the nick of time. Ha! It was that good. It’s sure to be made again. But you’ve got to wait till December rolls around again.
For our small New Year’s Eve gathering, we hosted our in-laws. With an incredible DIY drinks bar and cheese boards full of charcuterie goodness, we had to make a pie, with Mocha Pretzel Piecrust, that is.
My wife loves peanut butter. Maybe that’s why she’s a sweet butter cup? She also loves pie. And I mean love with a capital L. She’s the inspiration behind most of my pies so when she asks for a specific pie filling, I do my best to deliver. This time it was a Reese’s Pie. It’s my duty as a wife to whip one up, isn’t it?
Of course, I set out to make the most incredible and luscious Reese’s Pie you could ever imagine. More lush than the one at Burger King that everyone seems to think of when I bring this up. Mocha Pretzel Piecrust, my friends, is what brought it all together.
Now, now, it’s alright. I know you’re currently looking for the recipe to these two ridiculously decadent sounding pies but you won’t find them here. They’ll be on the blog soon enough. You’ll just have to check back periodically and see. For now, make yourself a Mocha Pretzel Piecrust and fill it with whatever your little heart desires.
