We love Peruvian food. Always have and always will. Growing up in South Florida, you get exposed to a lot of different Latin cultures. It’s a beautiful thing, really. There are restaurants galore offering all types of South American cuisine. Caribbean, too. Read More
Just like the chalkboard printable I made says, we go together like salt and pepper. And because of this, we wanted our loved ones to enjoy Culinary Wedding Favors, a pinch of love from the kitchen that makes our love taste better. We knew they would be surprised at this small gift made with our hands. Read More
This is an old recipe but I had to bring onto the blog, finally. Green Tomato Ratatouille is a green dish for the greenest of holidays. You heard that right. St. Patrick’s Day is coming really soon and this is a twist on a classic French dish that hits the spot. Read More
Yay for online shopping sales! Old Navy is having a HUGE sale. We had $25 of rewards cash in our account, a $100 gift card from my parents for Christmas, and 7% Ebates cash back.
We paid close to nothing and bought a whole ton of stuff. The cutest dresses and shorts. Cute tops for the summer. My wife got joggers in different colors and cool jackets and tees. Yas queen. I love sales and I love Old Navy. We both do. Read More
Super Bowl weekend!
I’m not a fan of sports, like I have said before on the blog. But I sure as hell love throwing a party for whatever the reason and cooking for whoever comes over. Tonight, Sports Night Chicken is all the rage.
My honey has been making Sports Night Chicken once a week for dinner for the last few weeks and we just love it. It’s got the perfect amount of spice and tang with lots of garlic, which we are obsessed with. Sports Night Chicken is healthy, clean and scrumptious. Read More
My wife absolutely loves it when I make Honey Garlic Chick Peas. It’s one of her top favorite meals that I make at home. Since we make those quite often and incorporate chick peas in our diet whenever possible, I decided to kick it up a notch and make some Honey Garlic Shrimp. This is definitely something that I would eat with my Homemade Special Fried Rice. Although I didn’t eat it with rice the first time around, you better believe the next time will. Seriously, who needs take out when you can make better food at home?! Read More
Today, I bring to you these cute Mini Caprese Salads. In an attempt to make prepping my wife’s lunches for work a bit easier, we have turned to mason jars for easier storage and simpler eating. Mini Caprese Salads was one of the very first meals I made for her in small masons. She loves them so much that I have been making them every week for the last two months! Thank God we are taking a 50 day road trip so she won’t get tired of them. Read More
I love dipping sauce whether it’s to dip chicken nuggets or sweet potato fries. Some of our favorites are our homemade Curry Mustard Sauce and this fabulous Cilantro Garlic Sauce. Growing up in Miami, there is a fast food restaurant chain called Pollo Tropical. It’s the easiest way to get a fresh home-cooked Cuban meal in 20 minutes or less. If that’s not fast enough for you, then this easy homemade Cilantro Garlic Sauce is for you!! Read More
This weekend, I was planning on setting up a small little dinner party gathering for some friends. Come to find out, our dinner guests are vegetarian!!! They don’t need any kind of meat, some seafood only. I was completely taken aback because I had a mission to make the most amazing Cuban Pork Burgers the world has ever seen. Ugh… * sigh *
On my biweekly trip to Trader Joe’s, I picked up an incredibly lean grass-fed pork loin roast. I have had Cuban Pork Burgers on the back of my mind since summer of last year. When I fixed my eye on this roast, I knew it was the one that was going to be chopped into perfectly ground pork meat. Of course, I had to go the extra mile and add some delicious, crispy turkey bacon to the mix. The heftier the better, right? Or so they say. Who are “they” anyway? Lol. Read More
I love Mediterranean food! All things except olives. Yuck. Chicken Shawarma is one of my top favorite foods to pick up nearby on a day we don’t want to cook. There’s a cool local spot in MetroWest called Habibi. It’s owned by a nice Lebanese family. They are just the sweetest. Not only that, they are amazing cooks. Their food is fresh on the hour and everything is made by hand daily. They serve an array of Mediterranean foods, too. Their rotisserie Chicken Shawarma is by far, hands down, the greatest. Although their food is pure, nutritious and wholesome, it can be pretty expensive if you want to eat this once or twice a month for your entire family. Read More
