Remember I talked about how my wife and I were late to the reception, well they opened up the cheeseboards and charcuterie table for guests to start off. They couldn’t be stopped. People were starving and they couldn’t be stopped. Unfortunately, this meant that our beautiful towers of Italian Macarons were noshed off, too. Even the tower with the Bride Cake on top. I know, I know. I was pretty annoyed but our huge delay made people desperate. Tuscan Winter Wedding meant lots of really good food and tons of starving family members ready to chomp down anything they could get their paws on. Read More

How was your Easter weekend? Ours was fantastic. We also got a lot done this week. Productivity at its finest. Did you enjoy your spring break? We sure did here at the Lopez-Sarraff residence. I can assure you there was a lot of Crème Chantilly being passed around the table throughout the week. We served our Banana Cream Pie for my father’s birthday last Monday and, again, yesterday for our family Easter Sunday brunch. It was delicious and the addition of our fresh, sweet whipped Crème Chantilly was absolute perfection.
Now that Easter is over, I realized how many of my recipes call for our homemade Chantilly Cream. It’s a little redundant to rewrite the recipe of our Crème Chantilly into each blog post that calls for a batch. But, I have been doing this for way too long, it is about time to share it with you. Read on as I pass you the baton… Read More
From the moment we left Arkansas, I knew we were on for one of the longest rides in our life. Thank God we met G and Destiny, my latest and greatest friend since yesterday, because they recommended we go to Murfreesboro to the Crater of Diamonds State Park, where you can search for diamonds out in their diamond fields. This was an experience of a lifetime! I never expected to find myself and my wife searching for diamonds in the fields, especially out in Arkansas. And, before you even ask, we didn’t find any diamonds. It sure was hard to work through the blistering sun in our eyes while on the search for diamonds. All I could think of was PIE!! I mean with Homemade Piecrust on the line in my mind, c’mon y’all, who can blame me for thinking of pie? Read More
When we moved into this new old ass house, it did not smell good AT ALL. I wanted to freshen up the house a little and let it take on our family smell with this Refreshing Stove Top Potpourri. Any where we live, our house always smells wonderful. I don’t know if it’s the candles, our air freshener or just us silly girls that smell oh-so wonderful. Read More
A simple, yet refreshing DIY. As always, I keep it cheap and I keep it easy. These are my mottos in life. I don’t want to pay too much for stuff I can make myself. I, also, don’t want to dish out time and effort into purchasing these products that contain nothing but straight garbage. Most small trinkets full of cool bath stuff at the store are costly, ineffective, and the ingredients are loads of crap you cannot even pronounce. I am good on that, thank you very much! I’ll take some healthy Oatmeal Bath Satchels, any day.
Let’s talk rice pudding. I grew up on it and my grandma still makes it often as well as on special occasion for all to enjoy. The kind of rice pudding my Nana makes is unhealthy, delicious, and tummy-aching. I know it’s so good but so bad for me. I knew I had to find a way to make it in a way that had no dairy, no sugar, no flour, and just plain healthy gourmet decadence in each bite. This took a lot of hard work with many failed Quinoa Pudding recipes under my belt that went straight into the garbage.
Today, something changed. Today, was a fresh start at cooking Quinoa Pudding. Today, was the complete end of rice pudding as we knew it. Read More

A snack I’ve been enjoying lately since my AboutTime birthday cake protein powder’s recent arrival. I typically don’t have a particular protein powder that I’m in love with, but this one I might add is specifically my favorite. When I say my favorite, I guess it’s not completely my favorite. And, you might wonder why. I am a rather confusing child adult. Read More
